The Northern Rivers Graduate Nurse Program is a regional rotational program. The program offers graduates the opportunity to experience regional and rural nursing in a structured rotational process. Graduates will undertake a 6 month rotation in either, Rochester, Boort or Cohuna and a six month rotation at Echuca Regional Health.
Graduate Nurse Support
Echuca is a Sub-Regional Referral Hospital providing a diverse range of health care services. Specialties include medical, surgical, maternity, pediatrics, theatre, emergency department, dialysis unit, chemotherapy, community and primary health care. Echuca Hospital upgrade was completed in 2015.
Rochester is a rural facility with modern facilities, completed in 2010. It is a 72 bed health service including acute medical, aged care including two Transition Care beds, home nursing services, community services and Day Procedure Unit.
Cohuna is a 32 Bed General Hospital and provides general, medical, surgical, midwifery and aged care
Boort is a small rural health service treating medical, dental, urgent care and aged care residents.
