Safety and Quality Care

Aged Care Services

At Boort District Health, we understand what exceptional care looks like. Our dedicated staff are friendly, respectful, and responsive to the individual needs of each Resident.

Residents are supported by skilled professionals who take pride in their work and ensure every person receives the care they deserve. We foster meaningful connections, providing opportunities for Residents to engage in conversations about what matters most to them.

Our organisation is well-managed, with oversight provided by an experienced Operations Management Team, a committed Board of Management, and its active sub-committees. These governance structures ensure we consistently deliver high-quality care aligned with the Aged Care Standards.

Acute Services

Boort District Health is assessed against the National Safety Quality Healthcare Standards every 3 years in Acute and Dental services.

Boort District Health provides high-quality acute care through a dedicated 7-bed unit and 2-Cubicle Urgent Care Centre designed for patients with short-term medical conditions or those transitioning from larger hospitals. Our acute services are supported by a multidisciplinary team including visiting medical officer, consulting clinicians via telehealth or onsite, and skilled nursing and allied health staff. Each patient room is equipped with amenities to ensure comfort and dignity during their stay.

We are proud to be fully accredited under the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards, which guide our commitment to safe, effective, and person-centred care. Our acute services undergo structured assessments every three years, ensuring all components of our safety and quality systems are thoroughly evaluated. These assessments are based on direct observations, staff interviews, and documentation reviews, providing evidence of our performance and continuous improvement.

Feedback from patients, families, and carers is highly valued and plays a vital role in shaping our services to meet community needs.
