At Boort District Health we offer all single rooms and private ensuites.
On arrival you will be given a copy of our patient information handbook which will help to make your stay at Boort District Health as stress free as possible. If you have any further questions our highly trained staff will be only too happy to assist you.
Smoking
Boort District Health is a non-smoking facility.
Mail addressed to you at Boort District Health will be delivered daily.
Newspaper
If newspapers or magazines are required these can be ordered from the newsagent and delivered to you.
Nurse Call System
Every room has a nurse call ‘buzzer’, we encourage you to use this if you require assistance.
Telephones
Each patient room has a direct land line which you can make and receive personal calls on.
We encourage you to bring your mobile device and a charger with you if desired.
What to bring
If you are staying in hospital for one or more nights please bring the following items:
- Night clothes, slippers, day clothes and comfortable day shoes.
- Toiletries including toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, comb, shaving kit, shampoo and conditioner can be provided and any toiletries you may prefer to use we encourage you to bring with you.
- A list of all the medications you take and any recent changes that have been made. This includes all prescription medications and those purchased in a pharmacy, supermarket or health shop.
- You may bring books and magazines or you might like to read from our free Book exchange in the Spanner Cafe area.
- We encourage you not bring valuables or large amounts of cash with you. We can securely store any valuable items in our safe if needed.
Laundry
Laundry is the responsibility of the patient, but arrangements can easily be made to have this attended to in our onsite laundry.
Chaplain
A chaplain visits Boort District Health regularly if you wish to access this service.
Children in Hospital
Hospital can be particularly stressful to young children. As a result we welcome the presence of parents and family at all times. If possible we encourage the parent/s of any young children to stay overnight with them. Accommodation and meals during this time are provided free of charge.

Boort District Health aims to provide high-quality care to all our patients. If you have any concerns regarding your care or the care of a loved one, please feel free to discuss them with the Director of Clinical and Community Services or one of our staff.
You’re concerns are important and help us to improve.
